Nicola Dragoni obtained a M.Sc. Degree and a Ph.D. in Computer Science, respectively in 2002 and 2006, both at University of Bologna, Italy. He visited the Knowledge Media Institute at the Open University (UK) in 2004 and the MIT Center for Collective Intelligence (USA) in 2006. In 2007 and 2008 he was post-doctoral research fellow at University of Trento. In 2009 he joined Technical University of Denmark (DTU) as Assistant Professor in Security and Distributed Systems and was promoted to Associate Professor in 2011. Since 2014 he is also Professor in Computer Engineering at Örebro University, Sweden. His main research interests are pervasive computing and cyber-security, with focus on domains like Internet-of-Things, sensor networks, mobile systems and eHealth pervasive technology.
