Gibson Chimamiwa is a PhD student at the Center for Applied Autonomous Sensor Systems (AASS) at Örebro University. He obtained his BSc Honours in Computer Science from Midlands State University in 2005 and a MSc in Information Systems from University of South Africa (UNISA) in 2011. Gibson’s current research focuses on human habit recognition using data collected from multiple sensors deployed in home environments.

Gibson is employed at Örebro University since 2018 as part of the Newbreed-Successful ageing interdisciplinary doctoral program, co-funded by the European Commission through the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA COFUND).
